Jeffrey Dvorkin


Jeffrey Dvorkin is the former Vice President of News and Information at NPR (1997-2000) and was NPR's first ombudsman from 2000-2006. He is Executive Director of the international Organization of News Ombudsmen, a position he has held since 2008. Based in Toronto, Canada, Dvorkin teaches journalism at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and is on the board of directors of the Canadian Journalism Foundation. He is involved in issues of journalistic safety and serves on the boards of the International News Safety Institute in London, England and the Canadian Journalism Forum on Violence and Trauma.
