Norman Augustine

Norman R. Augustine is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation, the world’s largest defense contractor. Upon retirement from Lockheed Martin in 1997, Augustine became Lecturer with the Rank of Professor on the faculty at Princeton University, where he taught until 1999. From 1987-1995 Augustine served as CEO of then-defense contractor Martin Marietta. Augustine serves on the Board of Directors for ConocoPhillips, Black & Decker, Procter & Gamble and Lockheed Martin. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Colonial Williamsburg, a trustee emeritus of Johns Hopkins, and a former member of the Board of Trustees of Princeton and MIT. Augustine is the author of Augstine’s Travels, The Defense Revolution, and Augustine’s Laws. Augustine graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, from which he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering.
