AAM and Netflix Co-Host Event with Director Paul Greengrass

AAM and Netflix co-hosted a dinner and panel discussion on "Combatting the Rise of Far-Right Extremism" with director Paul Greengrass for the release of 22 July, a Netflix film based on true stories of life in the aftermath of Norway's deadliest terror attack. Panel participants included Paul Greengrass, award-winning director/producer of 22 July, General Michael Hayden, former Director of the CIA and NSA, Farah Pandith, former Special Representative to Muslim Communities at the US Department of State, and Anna Schecter, Emmy Award-winning Investigative Senior Producer & Reporter who is currently producing a series for NBC and MSNBC examining the rise of far-right extremism in the US and Europe. The discussion was moderated by Evan Ryan, Executive Vice President at Axios Media and former Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs. Attendees included 22 July actors Seda Witt and Jonas Strand Gravli and diplomats from the Norwegian embassy to the US, as well as other key DC media representatives and policymakers.
